Episode 1 - Superman On Earth

An infant boy from a race of supermen on another planet, Clark Kent, is rocketed to earth and reared by a kindly couple in opening scenes of the Superman drama, "Superman on Earth." As a young man he applies for a job on the Daily Planet, and, in order to prove himself, scoops other reporters and rescues an airport ground crewman dangling from a dirigible guy rope. Thus he begins his dual life as Clark Kent, reporter, and Superman, Man of Steel.

As Superman, Kent discovers Madame Selena is holding all of the six "prognostications" in a dungeon beneath her museum. They are all alive but under the influence of numbing drugs.

"Jet Ace" is the exciting story of the nearly successful attempt by spies to wrest flight secrets from a convalescent test pilot, Chris White, played by Lane Bradford. In a split second dash to Chris' aid, as the young pilot is trapped in a burning mountain lodge, Superman, played by George Reeves, succeeds in foiling the international thieves.

When Superman discovers that an eccentric old lady and her photographer nephew have an infra red photo showing Clark Kent switching identity to Superman, he attempts to retrieve the tell tale film in "Shot in the Dark." It takes quick help from Lois Lane, enacted by Neel Neill, and Jimmy, portrayed by Jack Larson, to extricate the intrepid "Man of Steel."

When a nuclear pile at Project X starts to build pressure and threatens to destroy Metropolis and environs, it is Superman who zooms in and manages to save the day in opening scenes of "Superman in Exile." As a consequence, he becomes radioactive and must absent himself temporarily, opening the way for clever crooks to seize Lois as hostage, stage an air robbery and terrify mankind.

Superman has to best a British ghost in "A Ghost for Scotland Yard." The ghost which Superman is called on to dispel is that of Brockhurst, believed dead these last five years.

A gangster's dog becomes resolutely attached to Superman and the dog's adoration threatens to reveal the truth that Clark Kent, the newspaper reporter, and Superman, the man of steel, are one and the same, setting the stage for the exciting drama, "The Dog Who Knew Superman."

When a gang surgically alters the face of one of its member hoodlums to resemble Superman, and Metropolis is stunned by a series of robberies apparently perpetrated by the hitherto upright "Man of Steel," an exciting half hour drama results. It is titled "The Face and the Voice."

Episode 38 - Season 2, Episode 12: Panic in the Sky

The climax of "Panic in the Sky" finds Superman trying desperately to conquer amnesia--induced by his contact with a runaway asteroid. He must act fast to save the Earth from floods and earthquakes caused by the asteroid's proximity. His success brings a thrilling finale.
Episode 39 - Season 2, Episode 13: The Machine that Could Plot Crimes

"Mr. Kelso," an intricate mechanical brain, is used by crooks to plot crimes so perfect, so complete, that the police--and even Superman--are baffled in the drama "The Machine That Could Plot Crimes." Then the mechanical marvel threatens to reveal that Clark Kent and Superman are identical persons. There's a thrilling climax as Superman in his turn uses the machine to plot the destruction of the evil doers.

"Jungle Devil" finds Clark Kent played by George Reeves; Jimmy, performed by Jack Larson and Lois, enacted by Noel Neill, seeking and finding a lost scientist only to be captured by hostile natives. Superman's super powers finally extricate the group from their predicament, but Superman must wrestle a giant gorilla and produce a diamond from a lamp of coal before the chief is convinced.

When Tony, who owns the diner near the Daily Planet, is beset by protection racketeers, he boasts a friendship for the great Superman on very slight grounds. The fib sets off a strange series of events dramatized in "My Friend, Superman." An under the counter recording device, a noisy juke box and a slam bang free for all in Tony's place enliven the half hour film.
Episode 42 - Season 2, Episode 16: The Clown Who Cried

Rollo, the beloved circus clown, is impersonated by his former partner, Crackers, now turned thief. Crackers steals the proceeds of a charity benefit to start a fast moving Superman TV program, "The Clown Who Cried." After the deception, Clark Kent is induced to don his Superman gear to unravel the tangled affair and restore the funds. A highlight of the drama is a roof top scene with police pursuing both the genuine and the phony Rollo.

In "The Boy Who Hated Superman," sixteen year old Frankie hopes to aid his gangster uncle who is now in jail by spying on Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen. Instead, he learns through Jimmy's loyal companionship and Clark Kent's kindness that a boy's best and truest friends are always persons of honor and trust. What motive lies behind the appearance of a corpse in a diver's suit on the main street of Metropolis, miles from deep water? That's the first of several strange events which tax all Superman's strength and ingenuity in the filmed TV drama, "Perry White's Scoop." Locked steam cabinets, a banded goldfish, and men imprisoned in a refrigerator car are other complications of the plot.
Episode 46 - Season 2, Episode 20: Beware the Wrecker

"Beware the Wrecker" is the title of the Superman half hour thriller. Superman is called to cope with an unknown enemy, "The Wrecker," believed responsible for a series of disasters involving planes, trains and ships. A baffling bell like sound is Superman's only clue. The climax comes as Superman forces the criminal to reveal his identity using a scale model plane.
Episode 47 - Season 2, Episode 21: The Golden Vulture

The master of the tramp ship "Golden Vulture" has been converting stolen gold into pieces of eight and foisting off this ill-gotten wealth as recovered treasure. Lois and Jimmy become prisoners, and Clark Kent is forced to walk the plank during this thrilling Superman TV drama. It takes all Clark's wit to extricate himself without revealing his identity as Superman.
Episode 48 - Season 2, Episode 22: Jimmy Olsen, Boy Editor

The boys hold down all the important offices in Metropolis for one day. "Jimmy Olsen, Boy Editor," has his chief's post for 24 hours, but in his eagerness to splash a hot news story across the pages of the Planet he touches off an exciting day for Superman in the drama. A faked story, one that Jimmy hopes will land a notorious underworld character behind bars, proves Jimmy's undoing.
Episode 49 - Season 2, Episode 23: Lady in Black

Who is "The Lady in Black?" That's the mystery that engages Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and, of course, Superman. George Reeves, Jack Larson and Noel Neill are in leading roles of the half-hour, Hollywood-filmed TV drama which finds Jimmy baffled by a clever gang of art thieves.
Episode 50 - Season 2, Episode 24: Star of Fate

A fabulous sapphire--and a curse are in the ancient Egyptian box auctioned off during opening scenes of "Star of Fate." More important is a hidden needle containing a hypnotic poison inside the lock. When several people, including Lois Lane, become victims of the fiendish device, Superman steps in to save his f riends and makes a round trip to Egypt at the exciting finale. George Reeves, Noel Neill, Jack Larson and John Hamilton star.
Episode 51 - Season 2, Episode 25: The Whistling Bird

Doctor Quinn has discovered a new explosive and taught the formula to his pet parakeet, Skyler. When the bird is carried off by an agent intent on stealing the explosive for a foreign power, Superman steps in, but is hard pressed, with all his great powers, to outwit his adversaries in the exciting drama, "The Case of the Whistling Bird." It becomes necessary for "the man of steel" to drink some of the explosive to prevent disaster.
Episode 52 - Season 2, Episode 26: Around the World

Superman helps restore vision to a sightless child and reunites an estranged couple all as a result of a promotional stunt arranged by the Daily Planet, "Around the World with Superman."
Episode 53 - Season 3, Episode 1: Through the Time Barrier

Professor Twiddle, an eccentric inventor, has contrived a time machine with which he transports himself and five others back 50,000 years to the caveman era in the Superman drama, "Through the Time Barrier." Making the trip with Twiddle are Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Editor Perry White and an important hoodlum named Turk. Arriving in a strange prehistoric land and befriended by cave dwellers, the Professor makes the awful discovery that he is unable to reverse the time machine's mechanism to return the group back to the 20th century. Even Clark Kent, who is compelled to transform himself to Superman to keep the gangster in line, is baffled. With all his great powers, Superman finds he is unable to crash the time barrier and aid his stranded companions.
Episode 54 - Season 3, Episode 2: The Talking Clue

Police Inspector Henderson's son, Ray, has an unusual hobby: collecting all sorts of noises and sounds on his tape recording machine. Ray's hobby sets off an exciting sequence of events in "The Talking Clue." By accident young Ray's recorder picks up the sounds of Inspector Henderson's office safe being opened and two crooks, Muscles McGurk and Claude James, are able to use this sound recording to their advantage. The vault subsequently yields data which enable McGurk and James to disconnect burglar alarms and commit robberies undetected. When Ray becomes their unwitting dupe and accessory, it appears he has double crossed his father and sold out to the underworld. However, through clever use of the sound machine and some quick thinking by Clark Kent, Superman is able to locate the hideout and foil McGurk's scheme.
Episode 55 - Season 3, Episode 3: The Lucky Cat

"The Lucky Cat" involves "the man of steel" in an exciting drama which calls into play all his remarkable abilities: X ray vision, swift flight, and superhuman strength and agility. The doings of the Anti Superstition Society and the strange behavior of Mr. Botts, owner of an eerie, isolated, old house in which the club meets, attract the attention of Daily Planet reporters, who smell a story. When it becomes apparent that an attempt is being made to injure certain members of the Society who flaunt their con-tempt for commonly held superstitions, suspicion points to Mr. Botts. Superman saves members from injury when the house's underpinnings are sawed through and rescues Charlie King when his munitions factory is set afire. Although the police are stumped and inclined to blame Mr. Botts, Superman ingeniously traps Charlie King into confessing his guilt. The cat helps Superman prove his case.
Episode 56 - Season 3, Episode 4: Superman Week

While everyone is making extensive plans to celebrate "Superman Week" it is discovered, at the climax of the thrilling half hour drama, that Sy Horton's mob has learned the secret of Kryptonite, the only element in the entire Universe that can deprive Superman of his powers. Jimmy Olsen, the youthful reporter on the Daily Planet, let the secret slip out while under the influence of a truth drug forced upon him by Horton and Horton's crooked compan-ion, Matthew Tips. Worse, he also revealed the location of some of the metal, encased in lead pipe at the bottom of the bay. Luckily, Clark Kent, who is in reality Superman disguised as a mild mannered Daily Planet reporter, gets wind of Jimmy's alarm-ing revelation and prepares to confound the gangsters.
Episode 57 - Season 3, Episode 5: Great Caesar's Ghost

It becomes apparent that Editor Perry White of the Metropolis Daily Planet is suffering from confusion and hallucinations on the eve of an important gangster trial in which he is the prosecution's key witness. This poses a problem that Superman is called on to settle in "Great Caesar's Ghost." Superman is played by George Reeves and Editor White by John Hamilton. Also seen are Noel Neill as Lois Lane, Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen and Robert Shayne as Police Inspector Henderson. The editor's office staff attributes White's strange behavior to overwork until he begins to hear unearthly voices.

Superman helps an aging Indian chief pass a tribal ritual of strength and courage.
Episode 59 - Season 3, Episode 7: Olsen's Millions

Criminals try to take the million dollars that was given to Jimmy by an old woman after Superman saved her cat.
