Episode 1 - The One After Vegas

Chandler and Monica tell Joey and Rachel that they want to live together. Monica is hurt that Rachel doesn't react as strongly as Joey. Phoebe tries to find out how Ross really feels about Rachel.

Despite Phoebe's admonitions, Ross asks Rachel to move in with him. Chandler and Monica bicker over their living arrangements. Joey interviews potential roommates.

Joey develops a hernia just as his health insurance expires due to lack of acting work. Ross affects a British accent during lectures.

Rachel tries to help her pampered younger sister, Jill, find independence--but Jill flirting with Ross is not part of the plan. Monica won't admit that she is sick and continually tries to seduce Chandler.

Episode 14 - The One Where Chandler Can't Cry

Angry that Rachel interfered in her relationship with Ross, Jill sets out to seduce him. When Joey learns that people think Phoebe is a porn star, he rents "Buffay, The Vampire Layer," and the gang discovers that it is Ursula. Chandler has trouble expressing emotion.

Contemplating how differently their lives could have turned out, the friends fantasize that Rachel and Ross are in respective loveless marriages; Monica is an overweight virgin; poor Chandler works for television star Joey; and Phoebe is an overstressed stockbroker.

Episode 16 - The One That Could Have Been, Pt. 2

In the friends' continuing speculative fantasy, Ross initiates a threesome with his wife and her female friend--and gets left out. Chandler and Monica help each other overcome loneliness. Rachel learns the truth about her husband. Phoebe sneaks out of the hospital.

Episode 17 - The One With Unagi

Chandler and Monica agree to give each other homemade presents for their six-month anniversary, but neither of them has anything prepared. Ross tries to teach martial arts to Rachel and Phoebe. Joey hires a look-alike.

When a fire damages their apartment, Rachel and Phoebe must choose between living temporarily with Joey or Monica. Ross gets into trouble by dating a student. Chandler tries to help Joey's career.

Ross worries when his student/girlfriend goes on vacation with her wild friends. Rachel needs a date for a ball. Joey's refrigerator breaks down.

In this episode primarily composed of clips from earlier shows, Joey auditions for a major television role. But Chandler almost ruins everything by forgetting a telephone message.

Episode 21 - The One Where Ross Meets Elizabeth's Dad

Ross fails to impress his girlfriend's father. Joey jeopardizes his acting role by insulting a robot. Phoebe writes a book about Monica and Chandler.

Episode 22 - The One Where Paul's the Man

While Ross and Elizabeth are on a romantic weekend getaway at her family's cabin, Elizabeth's father and Rachel show up unexpectedly. Chandler pretends to get upset when Monica puts her name down on a wedding list, but secretly he is planning to propose.

Episode 23 - The One With the Ring

Chandler finds the perfect engagement ring--then loses it. Rachel gets her wish to get Paul to reveal his emotions, but now he can't stop blubbering.

Episode 24 - The One With the Proposal, Pt. 1

Chandler's romantic marriage proposal is ruined when Monica's former boyfriend (Tom Selleck) returns. Joey accidentally buys a boat. A dormitory incident reminds Ross of how young his girlfriend is.

Episode 25 - The One With the Proposal, Pt. 2

Rachel and Phoebe choose "backup" husbands. Chandler fools Monica into believing he hates the idea of marriage--and she seeks consolation with Richard. However, Monica and Chandler finally become engaged.
