Season 2 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - OverIn an attempt to mend their rocky relationship, J.T. and Shelly sit down for an honest conversation about the effort and the compromises each must make if they're going to stay together. However, just when she thinks they're making progress, Shelly is shocked to learn that J.T.'s idea of compromise involves her changing her lifestyle. Meanwhile, Nick tries to pretend that he is happy about Donovan's romantic interest in Rita after learning of their newfound mutual attraction.

Episode 2 - Self HelplessIn order to deal with her breakup with J.T., Shelly takes some advice from a self-help book that encourages her to spend time by herself, but a dinner out alone comically proves she needs the support of her girlfriends, Janie and Rita. Meanwhile, South Beach's socialites including Janis (YOANNA HOUSE - winner of America's Next Top Model contest) and Helen (CATIE ANDERSON - contestant on America's Next Top Model) are gossiping about Shelly's breakup and Nick jumps at the opportunity to help J.T. get back into the local scene which causes Dani to question Nick's commitment to their relationship.

Episode 3 - All My Exes Having SexesDespite Rita's and Janie's warnings to stop, Shelly can't resist having sex (once...maybe twice) with J.T. until she realizes she's starting to act like they are still in a relationship. Meanwhile, Donovan and Rita's first date goes awry when Donovan has a severe allergic reaction. And although J.T. and Shelly broke the pool table, J.T. tries to convince Nick that he did it.

Episode 4 - The Hate-Trix ReloadedFollowing the advice of a self-help book, Shelly formally asks J.T. in an e-mail to return all her uncollected possessions. However, when J.T. responds that he wants the money he loaned Shelly to be repaid first, egos are bruised as the estranged couple's petty attempts at payback spiral out of control. Meanwhile, to make amends for their failed first date, Donovan plans to take Rita to Miami's hot new club.

Episode 5 - FootlooseAfter injuring her knee while exercising, Shelly puts her pride aside and grudgingly turns to J.T. for physical therapy. But when a cute doctor in J.T.'s office asks Shelly out, a jealous J.T. gives her some unnecessary medical advice to sabotage the date. Meanwhile, Donovan bets Nick that he couldn't last one night as manager of Z Lounge.

Episode 6 - Splice of LifeAfter learning that Rita was evicted from her apartment, Janie agrees to let Rita stay at her house until she is financially stable, but Shelly feels neglected as her two friends rediscover their Cajun roots together. Meanwhile, Nick has an expensive cable television sports package installed, but an argument ensues when J.T. refuses to split the cost of something he doesn't want.

Episode 7 - Friend or Foe?Janie and Rita tell Shelly it's time to move past her breakup with J.T. after Shelly's bickering with him ruins the gang's night out at the movies. Shelly seeks advice from a new acquaintance, Claudia (DANICA McKELLAR The Wonder Years) who convinces her that one way to work through the heartache is to take revenge on J.T. Meanwhile, Rita decides to have a garage sale, but she isn't prepared to mark down her life for bargain hunters.

Episode 8 - Love TKOShelly is dating other people and J.T. thinks he's fine with the idea until he meets her new beau--muscular and handsome boxer Adrian (AMAURY NOLASCO). Also, Rita's previously wonderful living situation with Janie deteriorates into petty fighting so Rita accepts Nick's offer to let her move in with him and J.T.

Episode 9 - Above Average JoeShelly and Rita's competition for the affection of Joe (CARLOS PONCE Entertainment Tonight) a charming handsome bachelor with a yacht gets out of control and it's up to Janie to remind the two friends not to fight over a guy. Meanwhile, J.T. tries to give celibacy a chance in order to get closer to a woman who's waiting for that one special guy.

Episode 10 - Dateless in MiamiOn New Year's Eve, Shelly breaks the girls' no dates pact by bringing a new romantic interest to the Z Lounge party. The rest of the gang share stories of past New Year's Eve date debacles including J.T.'s evening with the delusional Diana (MISTY MAY) who thinks she's a superhero. While Donovan and Rita reminisce about Shannon (JILLIAN BARBERIE - Good Day L.A.) and Jackson (PERRY KING - The Day After Tomorrow) Shelly's perfect evening takes its own surprising turn just before the final countdown to midnight. Recurring guest star PHIL LaMARR (MADtv) appears as Eve's hairstylist Coleman.

Episode 11 - Lights, Camera, Face Crack!Shelly and DivaStyle persuade a celebrity client BROOKE BURKE (herself - Wild On...) to wear their creation to a televised red carpet awards show, but the advertising opportunity turns into a publicity nightmare when the fashion commentator ROBERT VERDI (himself - Surprise by Design) makes negative remarks about the dress. Meanwhile, J.T.'s task master mom Frances (recurring guest star DAPHNE MAXWELL REID - The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) visits. . . and Nick regrets his decision to take piano lessons from her.

Episode 12 - Breast in ShowShelly puts falsies in her bra, but when men start giving her extra special treatment she considers getting breast implants spurring a lively debate with her girlfriends. Meanwhile, J.T. and Donovan are determined to stop Nick's annoying habit of never paying the bill when they go out.

Episode 13 - Kung Fu DivasShelly and Rita take a kung fu class together, but when Rita proves to be more adept than Shelly, a rivalry ensues. VIVICA A. FOX ("Missing," "Kill Bill Vol. 1") guest stars as herself and DAVID CARRADINE ("Kung Fu," "Kill Bill Vol. 1") guest stars as Master, the kung fu teacher.

Episode 14 - Wheeling and DealingAfter being caught parking her car in a handicap-only space, Shelly pretends to be handicapped to save a deal with Damien (DARYL "CHILL" MITCHELL -"Ed," "Veronica's Closet"), a wheelchair-bound department store buyer interested in DivaStyle's designs. Meanwhile, J.T. and Nick implement some strict house rules for their new roommate, Rita.

Episode 15 - If the Shrew FitsAfter a fight with Rita's unpleasant and very young stepmother, Lucy (JODI LYN O'KEEFE -"She's All That"), at a designer shoe sale, Shelly must attempt to apologize in order to assist Rita in acquiring some much-needed financial help from home. Meanwhile, after finding out that J.T. slept with Nick's ex-girlfriend in college, Nick decides to make a pass at Shelly to get even.

Episode 16 - Prom NightEve is asked out by a younger man, Grant (recurring guest star SHARIF ATKINS - "ER"), who is chaperoning at his little sister's prom. What starts out as a "mercy date" surprisingly turns into a romantic attraction. YAYA DaCOSTA ("America's Next Top Model") guest stars as Ms. Jenkins.

Episode 17 - Moral MinorityWhen Shelly and Rita discover that Janie had a secret fling with Troy (RICKY FANTÉ), an old high school classmate, they decide that Janie can no longer lecture them on right and wrong. Janie gets some advice from Ben (SAMM LEVINE), a rabbinical student. Meanwhile, J.T. and Nick suspect that Donovan may be keeping a big secret from them.

Episode 18 - Real Women Have NervesDesperate to impress Grant (recurring guest star SHARIF ATKINS) by cooking for him, Shelly enlists the entire gang's help in the kitchen. Meanwhile, when J.T. and Nick's year-old satellite radio stops workingthey seek help from a variety of customer service representatives--all based in India.

Episode 19 - Testing Testing HIVWhen Grant (recurring guest star SHARIF ATKINS) tells Shelly he's had an HIV test because he's ready to take their relationship to the next level, it encourages the whole gang to get tested. Meanwhile, after seeing how serious Shelly has gotten with Grant, J.T. realizes he still loves her. GOLDEN BROOKS ("Girlfriends") guest stars as Nurse LaDonna, and MARTENIZ BROWN, an HIV/AIDS educator, guest stars as Roderick, a clinic counselor.

Episode 20 - Resident AliensWhen Coleman's (PHIL LaMARR -"MADtv") hair salon gets shut down, Shelly and the girls help him set up his business in their shop temporarily, but they soon regret the decision when the demanding stylist takes over DivaStyle. Meanwhile, the gang learns some surprising information about Donovan after an immigration raid on Z Lounge.

Episode 21 - Taken for Grant-edA surprise camping trip causes Shelly to question whether Grant's (recurring guest star SHARIF ATKINS) simple, down-to-earth sensibility is really right for her. Meanwhile, J.T. confesses his love for Shelly.

Episode 22 - Stay TunedAfter spotting Janie helping Grant (recurring guest star SHARIF ATKINS) shop for an engagement ring, a distraught J.T. asks Rita and his parents, Andrew (recurring guest star RICHARD GANT) and Frances (recurring guest star DAPHNE MAXWELL REID), for advice, which leads to a dramatic showdown between Grant and J.T. at Shelly's birthday party. Hip-Hop artist LUDACRIS guest stars as himself in the season finale.
