Episode 1 - Nature CallsThe Baby rebels furiously against his father Earl's attempts to toilet train him, and escapes into the woods, where hungry predators seek to devour him. |
Episode 2 - Dirty DancingBecause Earl refuses to talk to Robbie, who has reached the embarrassing age at which his legs go into an involuntary dance whenever he sees a pretty girl, Fran decides she will explain the phenomenon of the mating dance to her humiliated son and his classmates. |
Episode 3 - Baby TalkEarl and Fran can't figure out how to handle the Baby, who keeps repeating a dirty word he picked up from watching television. So instead, Earl joins a fringe protest group whose demands escalate into forbidding freedom of thought. |
Episode 4 - Network GeniusEarl's responses as a test subject to new TV shows prove so accurate that he is hired as a network executive and becomes a huge hit. But, as his programs soar in the ratings, the viewer population suddenly starts getting dumber. |
Episode 5 - The DiscoveryEarl thinks he has realized his dreams of fame and fortune with his discovery of a new, uncharted land -- until the cavemen inhabitants capture Robbie and Baby and hold them hostage to protest the destruction of their homeland. |
Episode 6 - Little Boy BooThe Baby frightens Robbie, so to retaliate, Robbie tells him a terrifying story about being attacked by a rabid Wereman one moonlit autumn night. But the mesmerized Baby's imagination proves more vivid than Robbie realizes. |
Episode 7 - Germ WarfareAs mischievous germs party inside flu-ridden Baby, worry-ridden Earl and Fran pay a fortune to a pricey doctor to treat the child -- refusing to listen to Grandma Ethyl's time-tested advice. |
Episode 8 - Hungry for LoveA chance meeting leads to romance between Robbie and Wendy, the daughter of Earl's overbearing boss. But there's a rumor circulating about Wendy which holds that she has this nasty little habit of ingesting all her boyfriends. |
Episode 9 - License to ParentOverreacting to some routine sparring between Earl and Baby, the Parent Patrol suspends Earl's License to Parent, hauling both father and son down to a special school, where Earl must earn his recertification by passing a series of test encounters with his lovable little tyke. The session turns into a sidesplitting battle of the wills -- and won'ts. |
Episode 10 - Charlene's Flat WorldThe class assignment is to come up with a totally original idea, and Charlene hatches a doozer: The world is round! Her revolutionary theory gets her arrested and prosecuted for heresy -- while brother Robbie scrambles to round up a defense witness to save her. |
Episode 11 - Wilderness WeekendIn a ceremonial assertion of megalosaurian machismo, Warrior Chief Earl, his sons and close male friends embark upon a sacred ritual (translation: camping trip), unaware of the huge, hideous monster that awaits them in ambush. Meanwhile, at home, Fran and the girls fill in for their foraging men by watching TV sports, eating salted snacks, and getting swacked on beer. |
Episode 12 - The Son Also RisesA rebellious Robbie challenges Earl at the Office of Male Supremacy and becomes the dominant male in the Sinclair household. But he hasn't counted on all the responsibilities, like getting a job to support the family. |
Episode 13 - Getting to Know YouInfuriated by Earl's insensitivity to her needs, Charlene joins a species exchange program and moves in with the Poupon bird family. The Sinclairs, in turn, house the Poupon adolescent -- a squawker named Francois for whom Baby shows a particular affinity. |
Episode 14 - Green CardWhen the recession forces tree-pushers Earl, Roy, Sid and Gus out of their jobs, all four-legged dinosaurs are blamed -- and banished to the other side of the swamp. But Roy refuses to join the hate movement: To save quadruped Monica from exile, he boldly proposes marriage to her. |
Episode 15 - Out of the Frying PanThe Baby, chosen to star in a frying pan commercial, turns into an instant celebrity and becomes a spoiled brat, forcing Fran to decide whether the fame and money are worth forsaking family life. |
Episode 16 - Steroids to HeavenRomance is in the air, and Robbie tries to compete with a muscle-bound colleague for the affections of comely Caroline Foxworth. Will taking large doses of thornoids do the trick? The lad is about to find out. |
Episode 17 - Honey, I Miss the KidsWhen Fran's blue funk over her dull-gray existence as housewife and mother reaches the crisis level, she ups and quits in favor of volunteer social-service work. This leaves Earl in charge of both breadwinning and homemaking, if one can picture it. |
Episode 18 - Swamp MusicRobbie, introduced to the wailing, funky blues sounds of 'swamp music' played by racially denigrated swamp mammals, tries to get them a record deal, but runs up against a sleazy executive con artist and prejudice from Earl. |
Episode 19 - If You Were a TreeEarl, struck by a lightning bolt, exchanges his spiritual essence with that of a willow tree; but while his bewildered family and friends try to figure out what's different about this "Earl," workers prepare to blast the tree-trapped real Earl with dynamite. |
Episode 20 - We Are Not AloneEarl ignores Robbie's pleas that he get involved in helping to clean up the planet. But then, a visit from a terrifying alien changes Earl into a passionate environmental crusader against greedy corporations like Wesayso. |
Episode 21 - The Clip Show, Pt. 2Sir David Tushingham, noted paleontologist, offers a special home-study course on those magnificent creatures, the dinosaurs, and it falls to the Sinclairs to illustrate everything there is to know about their customs, behavior and eating habits. |
Episode 22 - Charlene and Her Amazing HumansTrying to win Fran's and Earl's attention, Charlene creates a stage show with some cavelings (human children) and it becomes popular, but then the pressure mounts for her to mistreat the cavelings in order to become a big success and impress her parents. |
