Episode 1 - Collateral DamageDenise and Frank face the aftermath of the gunshot that was fired in their home. Trevor and Roxy celebrate the impending arrival of their new baby, but Roxy is hesitant to share the good news with the rest of the tribe. Pamela, in need of a break and still struggling in her marriage to Chase, unexpectedly takes the kids away for a vacation. Claudia Joy learns that she has been nominated as a finalist for the Army Spouse of the Year. Roland becomes distracted from work when he receives news of Joan’s condition but steps up to help Denise and Frank through a their difficult time. |
Episode 2 - Scars & StripesJoan’s healing takes longer than anticipated, leaving Roland feeling emotional about not being with her. Roxy is stressed about the financial burden that a new baby will have on the family, so Trevor offers to get a second job. With the help of Claudia Joy, Roxy is determined to get the ban lifted on the Hump Bar. |
Episode 3 - HomefrontClaudia Joy hosts a breakfast for the Army Spouse of the Year Award finalists and the catty nature of fellow nominee, Lenore (guest star Rhoda Griffis), comes out in full force. Roxy and Trevor tell TJ and Finn about the new baby. Joan finds inspiration with other soldiers at the hospital. Roland returns to work to find an unexpected guest, his former business partner Terrance Price (guest star Clifton Powell). Emmalin cancels plans with her dad to help a new girl on post meet some of her friends. |
Episode 4 - Be All You Can BeWhile visiting a college campus with Emmalin, Claudia Joy runs into and old friend and begins to think about her own future. Roland prepares for Sara Elizabeth’s first birthday which he feels needs to be perfect for Joan, who will be watching the party by video chat. Pamela seeks information on how her life would be affected if she and Chase got a divorce. Denise gets a late night call of suspected domestic abuse. |
Episode 5 - Guns and RosesAcross the post families are making preparations to celebrate Mother’s Day with their spouses and Claudia Joy is hosting her annual Mother’s Day brunch for families who are missing loved ones. When Michael’s Aunt Edie (Ann Margret) comes to base for an unannounced visit the Holden’s must rearrange their plans. Joan is stuck overseas but that doesn’t stop Roland from to finding a way make sure she feels loved and appreciated for the special day. |
Episode 6 - Evasive ManeuversFt. Marshall is buzzing with anticipation of the upcoming USO concert featuring Wynona Judd and Five for Fighting. Pamela throws herself into helping Claudia Joy organize the concert in order to avoid thinking about Chase's upcoming return. Meanwhile, in Iraq Joan struggles to keep morale up amongst her troops. The tribe comes together to support and encourage fellow Army Wife Marisol (guest-star Gina Rodriquez) to be honest about her husband's abusive actions and encourage her to seek help. |
Episode 7 - Heavy LossesChase returns home and appears to be making an effort in re-prioritizing his life with Pamela and the kids. Claudia Joy, eager to finish her law degree, has an interview with Alex Miller (Mark La Mura, "All My Children"), the Dean of Admissions at Carolina Law School. Denise is faced with a difficult choice in regard to Jeremy. |
Episode 8 - Over and OutJoan, anxious to see her family, receives exciting news about her return home. At an important game, Emmalin injures her leg, which could end her dreams of playing colligate hockey. With their children Lucas and Katie beginning to sense the escalading tension between them, Pamela and Chase finally accept that something needs to change in their marriage. |
Episode 9 - New OrdersRoland plans a trip day trip to Savannah with Joan but when the babysitter backs out last minute Frank volunteers to watch Sarah Elizabeth. Pamela’s financial troubles come to a head when she visits the dentist and is informed that she needs a root canal. Trevor receives some unexpected news that he has to share with the family. |
Episode 10 - Trial & ErrorGrant Chandler (guest-star Harry Hamlin), a public advocacy lawyer, tries a case against the Army that ends up pitting Claudia Joy and Michael against each other in a courtroom. Pamela starts a new job. Frank is working in D.C. so Jeremy steps up and helps Denise around the house. Joan is concerned about her health. |
Episode 11 - Safety FirstEveryone on post is on high alert as Fort Marshall is on its 99th day without a fatality. Joan finally goes to the doctor and learns what is causing her symptoms. Denise is moved to dispatch duty at work and enlists Pamela’s help to locate a caller in trouble. Trevor proves his leadership skills and gains the trust of the new men under his command, including Jeremy. |
Episode 12 - Change of StationPamela has doubts about Chase’s new female neighbor. When Emmalin gets disappointing news about the recovery of her knee, Michael steps in to help. TJ is having a tough time at home, so Trevor appoints him man of the house but the gesture backfires on the family. Unexpected orders come down from the Pentagon that affects everyone at Fort Marshall. |
Episode 13 - Army StrongWith deployment around the corner, the families are all struggling in their own ways. Denise and Frank find out the sex of the baby. Joan has a particularly hard time dealing with her recovering and inability to deploy with her unit. Pamela explores the idea of dating again. |
Episode 14 - AWOLThe tribe adjusts to a “new normal” around Fort Marshall with most of the soldiers deployed. When Roxy sees a female solider, get handcuffed and taken away from her daughter she asks Claudia Joy to look into the situation, as the head of the FRG. Claudia Joy learns that Amber went AWOL and missed her deployment but that Grant Chandler (Guest star Harry Hamlin) has taken the case hoping to take the Army to trial. In Afghanistan, Jeremy is smitten by a nurse after they both attend a group therapy session. |
Episode 15 - Hearts & MindsEmmalin gets permission to return to the ice and meets a new friend who helps her make a highlight video to college coaches. Joan gets clearance from her doctor’s to spend her first full day alone with Sarah Elizabeth. Pamela finds herself participating in a speed dating event at the Hump Bar. In the homestretch of her pregnancy, Denise is uncomfortable and unable to sleep due to the stress of Frank and Jeremy being overseas. |
Episode 16 - Mud, Sweat & TearsDr. Jill Biden visits Fort Marshall to kick off the post’s annual “Fun Run,” a road race and obstacle course for the local community and post families, in support of a summer camp for children of military families. While on post, Dr. Biden also visits with military spouses to discuss some of the challenges their families face on a daily basis while their loved ones are deployed. Denise’s sisters, Beth and Suzanne, come for a visit and Denise finds herself in the middle of their constant bickering. Trevor’s unit finds itself in a dangerous situation. Chase works through his issues in therapy with the help of Roland. |
Episode 17 - Murder In CharlestonPamela and her partner Clayton Boone stumble upon a local murder in Charleston. Soon after, Atlanta PD Detective Gina Maddox (Guest Star Gabrielle Union) comes to town to clear the prime suspects name and take her home to testify as a key witness for a case she has been working. But when Pamela is assigned to accompany Gina around Charleston, together they discover that things are not what they seem. |
Episode 18 - Forward MarchAs Emmalin prepares to graduate from high school, Claudia Joy receives potentially devastating news. Pamela gets an unexpected call from Gina which leads her to question her future. Joan gets good news about her health. During an intense phone call with Jeremy, Denise goes into labor. |
