Season 1 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - Get that loveThe Elders assign the Guardians to guard the Glove of the North in the Magic Fort. Amkko and Koto attack the fort with a Rock-Eating Mutant. The Guardians manage (eventually) to transform into the Dragon, Panther, and Rodent Warriors to drive them off.

Episode 2 - Dance dojoThe Elders assign the Guardians to master dancing, much to Xia's annoyance. April teaches Xia a move that he uses to defeat a Worm Monster and to earn his mondojitsu Brown Socks.

Episode 3 - Big bunnyThe Elders assign the Guardians to prepare a big feast. Pai sees this as his chance to impress the Elders and earn a new weapon to replace his Mystic Stick. But when he goes to collect the rare striped carrot (a crucial ingredient for his dish), he's attacked by a Giant Bunny Mutant sent by Negu. His Mystic Stick helps him defeat the Mutant, so he's content with his weapon...for now.

Episode 4 - Baby dragonXia tries to master his transformation into the Dragon Warrior. Negu sends a Mutant Dragon, who decides Xia would be a perfect baby for her. April and Pai get the Mutant Dragon to fall in love with their dragon-shaped ship, the Lord of the Wind.

Episode 5 - Game overThe Elders assign the Guardians to climb a mountain and ring a bell. Seeing his henchmen distracted by an old videogame, Negu sends the game up to the Yan World to distract the Guardians. Xia and Pai become obsessed with the game, stealing it back and forth from each other.

Episode 6 - Tree troubleThe Elders assign the Guardians to help with heavy gardening, much to Xia's dismay. Negu sends a Giant Beaver Mutant to eat the Yan's world trees, threatening its very survival. Pai has to master cooking Slippery Jade Noodles to get the Mutant to eat something besides trees.

Episode 7 - Dog dangerPracticing her Warrior Transformation, April gets stuck as a panther. Using a newly discovered elevator, Negu sends a big Mutant Dog up to chase April's cat. Pai and Xia manage to train the dog, having it fetch Pai's stick and rewarding it with delicious mushrooms.

Episode 8 - Pai problemThe Elders assign the Guardians to guard the Magic Fort overnight. Negu sends a mutant that's a clone of Pai. Pai has to defeat himself using his own self-knowledge.

Episode 9 - Joy rideThe Elders assign the Guardians to clean the Lord of the Wind. They can't resist riding the annual Surf Winds, but Xia and April end up captured by the Wind Beast. Pai rescues them by repulsing the sensitive Wind Beast with his onion and sulfur-geyser stink.

Episode 10 - That sinking feelingMei decides to impress Negu with an art museum. He has the Rock-Eating Mutant pull down old buildings to build the museum. The Guardians' "island" starts to sink. Pai "fishes" for the cause of the sinking and pulls up the Mutant, whom they entice to eat something besides rocks.

Episode 11 - Baby poxEveryone but Pai catches a pox that makes you act like a baby. He has to sail the Lord of the Wind by himself to get a mushroom for the cure, all while caring for the "babies." Negu sends a huge Mutant Toad. Luckily, the toad catches the Baby Pox, too!

Episode 12 - Mondo yawnMaestro Woof is having trouble sleeping. The Guardians try to cure his insomnia. The other Elders make a sleeping tonic, but Pai mistakes it for lemonade and drinks it. Xia and April discover a Mutant Raccoon from Negu is keeping Maestro Woof awake. Pai "sleep-fights" the raccoon brilliantly, but can't do it when he's awake...

Episode 13 - Ice AttackThe Elders confiscate the Guardians' weapons until they learn to value each other. Negu sends Ice Poppy, a cute mutant who can shoot ice and freeze you if you look in her eyes. Valuing each other, the Guardians defeat Ice Poppy and earn their weapons back.

Episode 14 - Locked upAfter his Mutant Octopus is defeated, Negu decides to attack the Guardians himself with a Mutant Meerkat. The Guardians capture him, and the Elders have Negu locked up near the Magic Fort. The Mutant Meerkat tunnels into the fort so Negu can steal the Glove of the North - his plan all along...

Episode 15 - GiveawayThe Elders assign lots of chores to the Guardians. To get them to mellow out, Pai prepares a special dish. They become so mellow they start giving away all their possessions. Seeing an opportunity, Negu sends his henchmen to ask for the Glove of the North. Koto and Amkko fail, so Negu sends Mei and the Mutant Raccoon in disguise...

Episode 16 - Buddy systemXia rejects April's advice on a fighting move, accepting the identical advice from Pai. Maestra Saku says today they'll study using the Buddy System. Xia's paired with Saku and has to knit while April and Pai learn much more exciting lessons in the forest. But the knitting lessons pay off when Xia uses his new skills to rescue April and Pai from a giant mutant spider...

Episode 17 - Love is blindFulfilling the Elders assignment to wrangle clouds, Pai falls in love with a rodent girl named Lol. But Lol proves to be one of Negus mutants, intent on stealing the Glove of the North.

Episode 18 - Something stinksNegu has his henchmen pump a foul green fog up to the Yan World, forcing the Elders to evacuate the Westerly Breeze. Aboard the Lord of the Wind, Pai fails to impress the Elders and gets "Rocky Rodent" - a crisis of confidence. The Elders have to pump Pai's confidence back up so he can help Xia and April defeat the Worm Monster sent by Negu.

Episode 19 - Chicken!To earn his Orange Underbelt, Pai thinks he's going to fight Xia in a chicken costume. But he ends up having to fight Negu's giant chicken mutant, which can fire toxic eggs!

Episode 20 - Pet peevesApril tries for Xia's attention, but he's too busy doting on his new pet bird, Peachy Woo. Pai loves his new pet fish, Noodle. April suspects Peachy Woo of being the mutant the Elders have warned the Guardians about, but it turns out to be...Noodle!

Episode 21 - Xia's bad dreamXia becomes over-confident after he pulls off an impossible move invented by the Elders. But in his dreams, he keeps losing to mutants! April and Xia have to go into his nightmare and give him advice to conquer his dream enemies.

Episode 22 - The trojan hedgehogThe Guardians each come up with a gift for Maestra Saku's birthday. A mysterious wooden hedgehog shows up as a gift, which proves to have Koto and Amkko inside! They attack the Magic Fort, but are thwarted by the Guardians when Xia bluffs about the dangers of his gift.

Episode 23 - The pai who cried wolfTo discover his powers as the Rodent Warrior, Pai goes on a solo night quest. But he keeps seeing the Wolf Warrior (Koto and Amkko in a disguise made by Mei). He runs to tell April and Xia, who don't believe him. He battles the Wolf Warrior, discovering his Rodent Warrior powers (Super-Burrowing and Super-Cheeks) as he reveals Koto and Amkko inside the disguise

Episode 24 - The waterfall of lifeThe balance and harmony of the Yan World are knocked out of whack when Negu sends a giant mutant toad to plug up the Waterfall of Life. The Guardians have to drive off the toad and repair the stone lotus through which the water flows. Balance and harmony are restored!

Episode 25 - School's out!When the Elders sail off to play Bingo, Pai and Xia say it's party time! They get April to dance, but she loses her fan, which falls down to the Chou World. Amkko and Koto use it to fly up to the Yan World on the giant mutant chicken. While April distracts the mutants with tango lessons, Xia and Pai send the chicken packing.

Episode 26 - Home aloneWhen the Elders sail off to meditate, the Guardians argue about who's in charge. Negu takes advantage of the Elders' absence to send cute mutants who prove to be slimy, multiplying monsters. To beat them, all the Guardians have to do is...whistle!

Episode 27 - Fire awayOn a chilly morning, Xia tries to heat things up with his Golden Katana, but keeps accidentally setting fires. He does no better as the Dragon Warrior. When Negu sends a mutant Heat Monster, the Guardians will have to fight fire with fire...or possibly water.

Episode 28 - Good croc, bad croc!The Guardians enjoy a baby croc until it grows into an unmanageable mutant sent by Negu. They'll need to train the croc, and then return it to the island Negu stole it from.

Episode 29 - Brush with dangerThe Guardians can not believe the Elders are giving them art lessons, with lots of criticism. But all the lessons in brushwork pay off when the Guardians apply their new skills to wielding their weapons as they battle a big color-blasting mutant snail sent by ..

Episode 30 - A clean breakThe Guardians want a maid to clean up their mess. The Elders object, but a maid answers Pai's ad - a ROBOT maid, that is, who turns out to be Negu's latest minion! Will the Guardians be able to convince the robot to give them back their magical accessories so they can defeat Negu's henchmen?

Episode 31 - The lily of the eastThe Guardians take a welcome break from brainteasers to go fetch pollen from the Lily of the East, which only grows in one faraway cave. Everyone (including Negu) is convinced the flower's pollen bestows magical powers. After an arduous journey through a bamboo forest and a series of caves, the Guardians reach the lily...

Episode 32 - Oh, rats!It's quiet...TOO quiet, according to Pai, who's convinced Negu's about to attack. Pai prepares a trap. But the evil lord of the Chou World is depressed by all his failures. Mei decides to launch an attack himself. He can only get one mutant rat to follow him...who in turn is followed by lots of fellow mutant rats. The Guardians laugh at Mei and his rats, but the rats have a secret weapon

Episode 33 - Pai the pirateWhen the Guardians stumble across a treasure map, Pai happily starts playing pirate, eager to find the treasure. But the Elders warn them about the dangers of treasure, and take the map. Negu sends mutant pirates to attack the Guardians! About to walk the plank, the Guardians convince the pirates to go look for the treasure.

Episode 34 - Sticky situationHaving used his Mystic Stick to defeat a giant beaver, Pai loves his weapon more than ever. Spying, Negu gets an idea. The Guardians' and the Elders' possessions start to go missing, and they keep being tricked. A mysterious expert declares the culprit to be...

Episode 35 - Borrowed gloveWhen Xia finds he's surprisingly bad at archery, he borrows the Glove of the North and becomes a great archer. Negu sends The Archer, a mutant, to challenge Xia to a contest. The stakes? The Glove of the North!

Episode 36 - Be quiet!The Guardians travel to Anjing Island to retrieve Maestro Meow's drum from the island's ogre, who HATES noise of any kind. But the ogre steals Pai's voice! Will he get it back in time to sing at tonight's Good Luck Concert?

Episode 37 - Switching placesAfter arguing about whose avatar is more difficult to control, Xia and April swap magic accessories. Xia becomes the Panther Warrior and April becomes the Dragon Warrior. Unfortunately, just as they're struggling to control each other's avatars, Negu's latest mutant attacks: his beloved pet "cat," Kanna.

Episode 38 - Pai the wizardDiscouraged with cleaning Maestro Meow's humble hut, Pai uses the Elder's conch horn (which Pai thinks is magic) to summon what he thinks are "Cleaner Birds." But they prove to be Party Birds, and soon have overrun the Westerly Breeze!

Episode 39 - Glove of the southNegu is thrilled to learn there is a Glove of the South hidden on the Guardians' island. He sends a big-eyed mutant, The Finder, to find the glove and bring it to him. The Guardians try to stop The Finder, but fail. Luckily, when Negu dons the Glove of the South, it tickles him mercilessly! The Glove of the South was a trick, invented by the Elders!

Episode 40 - Panda-Monium!:Maestro Woof needs the kind of bamboo that the Purple Panda eats so he can make a new flute, and he sends the Guardians to find some. Xia criticizes April's skills as a pilot, so she decides to take the Lord of the Wind on a practice run while her friends look for the bamboo.

Episode 41 - The ControllatorEveryone has forgotten April's birthday, so when a stranger gives her a present, she's delighted to accept it. It's one of Negu's inventions, which makes her do things against her will. When April, controlled by Negu, manages to steal the Glove of the North, Pai and Xia prove that they had remembered her birthday really, and get April to remove the device that's control her

Episode 42 - April's RainThe Wise Elders ask the Guardians to tidy up their island. Negu seizes the chance to send his Dust Mutant to make the island even dirtier. Pai and Xia ask April to make it rain and clean everything effortlessly. But April hasn't yet mastered this power, and accidentally creates a tornado. Fortunately it defeats the Dust Monster...

Episode 43 - Let's DancelMY 43 Let's Dance!: To complete the next step on her Mondojitsu Path, April has to master the dance of the falcon. Since Xia won't help because he's too embarrassed to dance with her, April accepts the assistance of Mei, who turns out to be a great dancer.

Episode 44 - Mystic Stick Gone WildWhen Pai complains that his stick is just like any other ordinary stick, Negu sends a horde of fake sticks, fans and swords to the Guardians. The weapons come to life and rebel against their supposed masters. April, Xia and especially Pai have to learn to connect with their own weapons to defeat the fake ones.

Episode 45 - The Fallen StarMY45 The Fallen Star: Maestra Saku teaches the Guardians how to connect with the constellations and make use of their powers. Pai is terrified of bats, but when a meteorite falls into the Shadowy Hollow, he has no choice but to connect with the bat constellation. As a result, he manages to beat the Rock-Eating Mutant and his phobia at the same time.

Episode 46 - Atchoo!The Guardians meet a very cute mutant with a terrible cold. They decide to adopt it and name it Atchoo. When the Guardians see that the gates of the Magic Fort standing open, they think Atchoo has betrayed them. But in fact, Atchoo has been captured by Amkko and Koto, who wanted to get Negu's defective mutant back again...

Episode 47 - You're All UselessNegu is sick and tired of Amkko, Koto and Mei's uselessness and kicks them out. The Guardians try to teach them to behave properly so they can fit in in the Yan World, but the Mutants are the worst students ever. Negu sends them a message saying that if they snatch the Glove of the North, he'll take them back, so Mei tricks the Guardians into taking them to the Magic Fort and tries...

Episode 48 - The Lord, LostWhen Xia and April go to fetch Pai after he's spent the night guarding the Magic Fort, they find out that the Glove of the North has disappeared. While they blame Pai for the disaster, Amkko and Koto steal the Lord of the Wind. The Guardians try to get it back, only to discover it was all a cunning...

Episode 49 - The Heroes' PathXia is bored because it's been days since Negu sent a Mutant when he finds the instructions for the "Heroes' Path". Pai and April laugh at what they think is a silly game for kids, but Xia completes each step with great excitement. When one of the instructions is to steal the Glove of the North, Xia begins to suspect something.

Episode 50 - Good Luck, Bad LuckThe lucky amulet April has bought arrives in the mail. Pai and Xia make fun of her - until they see that April is suddenly top in every discipline. First Pai and then Xia steals her amulet, and whoever has it wins at everything. They are arguing over who should keep the amulet, when Maestro Woof reveals it wasn't the amulet April bought at all.

Episode 51 - The Garden GuardiansMY51 The Garden Guardians: The Wise Elders ask the Guardians to take care of their vegetable garden while they go on a trip. Xia and April think it's the dullest job ever, but Pai is over the moon. Negu seizes the chance to send his Mutant Beetles, who try to wreck the garden, making Pai's life impossible.

Episode 52 - Final AttackThe Guardians fall out with each other and start training separately. But that very day, Negu decides to send out ALL his mutants at the same time. Xia and Pai are captured and April has to descend to the Chou World to free them. By working as a team and using the mutants' weaknesses against them, they finally defeat them all.
