Season 2 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Mister Fixit

You have to know how to take the initiative, when you're in love. That's something that Cedric's fully aware of! The day before, he'd run into Chen, who was very upset because her tape player had broken down. Without a moment's hesitation, he'd offered to fix it. His immediate reward was a broad and trusting smile from his little friend... All that remained for him to do was to fix it!
Episode 2 - Keeping Poppy happy

To celebrate Poppy's birthday - and to put an end to the daily arguments about what show to watch --, Robert offers a TV set to his father-in-law. Confined to his room with his new TV, Poppy feels cast off, and sulks, refusing to go downstairs for anything. Cedric decides to deal with Poppy's blues.
Episode 3 - And don't forget to brush

Nicholas shows off to the class his dazzling white teeth, the product of a descaling and, of course, regular brushing. Chen comments on his gorgeous smile, which of course makes Cedric jealous... and frightfully embarrassed. We learn why this is so a short time later, when his mother scolds him for not having brushed his teeth in a week!
Episode 5 - The big race

To attract Chen, Cedric thinks that he has to show a passionate interest in the same things as she does. That strategy works for Christian, who pretends to be interested in Caprice's track exploits... So Cedric sets about learning all there is to know about the violin, in order to become an authentic expert, and dazzle Chen! What won't a guy do for the lady he loves?!
Episode 6 - Kidnapping !

That morning, Christian was passing near Chen's house on his way to school, when he saw something really strange: just when the little girl was coming out of her house, a car stopped in front of her, a man wearing a long cape came out of it, and, when he got back in the driver's seat. There was no more Chen on the sidewalk!
Episode 7 - Insomnia

Cedric wonders if he and his Poppy aren't sometimes too much of a bother for his parents... This evening, after all, Robert and Mary Rose are in a great hurry to send Cedric and his grandpa off to bed: at last, they'll be able to spend some time together in a tête-à-tête!
Episode 8 - Just like on TV

Marvin has a sure-fire scheme for Cedric to win over Chen: he just has to do what the guy did in the movie that was on TV last night. The guy pretended that he was in love with another girl, and the one he really liked, jealous, fell into his arms. No sooner said than done! Cedric pretends to come on to Valerie. But Chen is hard to make jealous.
Episode 9 - A sweetheart of a mouse

Chen has to go away, and asks Cedric to take care of "Sweetheart", a little mouse belonging to her cousin. Cedric has to hide the mouse, because his parents are firmly against the presence of an animal in the house. Cedric, who at first finds the mouse a bother, then perceives that it bears a strong resemblance to the love of his life.
Episode 10 - The new kid

As part of an exchange program with the class, Harry arrives from Scotland to spend a week at... Chen's! Cedric is furious that he hadn't offered to put up the new kid, instead. Especially as this new kid, who turns out to be utterly charming, funny, and sweet, scores unanimous points with the girls. This is torture for Cedric, who is eaten up with jealousy.
Episode 11 - Star dancer

Cedric dreamed that he became Chen's dance partner, so he could star on stage with her. What could possibly have gotten into him to think up an idea like that?! So be it: he trained with his inseparable buddy, Christian, to be Chen's partner. It's no easy task to become a ballet swan in a flash...
Episode 12 - Back to the wall

Cedric has at last decided to write a letter to Chen. She'll soon know the depth of his feeling and will answer. He already imagines the bliss he'll feel. But a misunderstanding provokes Chen's anger, and she refuses to see him anymore !
Episode 13 - Take a hike !

Mr. Oliver organizes a weekend camping trip for the Kangaroo Braves. Cedric only accepted to take part in this outing because he thought that Chen would come, too. But Chen is sick. And Cedric is stuck in the group, forced to hike, to camp out, to sing - in a word, it's horrible!
Episode 14 - Cédric bounces back

"I tell you, girls like to be surprised... They even like to be scared, a little..." Christian's affirmation, supported by some "solid" proof, sets Cedric on his course: he's going to surprise Chen and even frighten her a bit, to help their love blossom!
Episode 15 - Crash-in Bores

Cedric and Chen are perfectly in love... that goes without saying. But Cedric thinks it would be even better to say it! In other words, the time had come for him to declare his affection. What could be better than a one on one encounter in the park to achieve his objective?
Episode 16 - Yay ! Mom's got a job !

Miss Nelly has a question for the class: what do the kids want to do when they grow up? "Flight attendant," answers Chen. Immediately, Cedric discovers his calling: he'll be an airline pilot! Still, though, Chen's idea starts to gnaw at him. If she's traveling all the time, who'll take care of him?
Episode 17 - The divorce

Lawrence's parents are getting divorced. The teacher is very understanding with the boy, and all the girls, including Chen, make a constant fuss over him. Girls are weird - it almost seems as if they're particularly attracted to unhappy boys. So Cedric decides to make everyone believe that his parents no longer get along.
Episode 18 - Like an old slipper

Poppy annoys the whole family with his old slippers that squeak. They move the date of his birthday forward, in order to offer him a new pair. But he doesn't like them. This foments a family feud, which blows up to such an extent that Poppy decides to leave home.
Episode 19 - Tomahawk and mocassins

A costume party with a dance contest is planned at school. The theme is the Far West. Cedric alerts his mother too late for him to get a costume. A major problem arises.
Episode 20 - Moving

One time, Cedric and Chen were almost separated forever. At least, that's what Cedric thought when he overheard a conversation between his parents and a mover. They were going to move! Cedric and Christian tried to figure out how to avoid this catastrophe, but it was Poppy who came up with the solution.
Episode 21 - A man aroung the house

Cedric refuses to set the table, on the pretext that it's a girl's job. Poppy approves his position, while Mary Rose scolds the boy, citing Robert as an example. Cedric's father is always there to lend a hand, unlike Poppy, who, when he was young, was not very present, either as a husband or as a father!
Episode 22 - The orange vase

Cédric has planned to take Chen to the country. No way that a bad report card is going to compromise this opportunity to at last declare his love. So Cedric hides the report card, which his parents soon discover.
Episode 24 - Man overboard

At the swimming pool with his class, Cedric is astounded to discover the Chen doesn't know how to swim. Mr. Oliver gives Chen a private course, which Cedric sabotages, convinced that the gym teacher is incompetent and that Chen is risking her life with him. As a result, Chen is furious with him and Cedric is thrown out of swimming class.
Episode 26 - The potion with the motion

When Cedric decides once again that Chen is doing everything she can to elude him, Christian suggests a magical solution: concoct a love potion that will bring the loved one back. At first Cedric refuses all this witchcraft mumbo jumbo, but finally gives in.
Episode 27 - Darnest report card !

Cedric has earned the most disastrous report card in his academic history. After using up every trick in the book to defuse his father's traditional outbursts of rage on thE subject, Cedric sees only one possible solution: lose the report card someplace where it will never, ever be found.
Episode 29 - The puzzle

Chen has gone skiing, and Cedric has lost interest in everything. Christian nonetheless manages to snap him out of it with his gaming console. Cedric's taste in life is revived, and the living room is soon echoing with the furious screams of the two boys,joined by Poppy. Exasperated, Robert confiscates the console and offers Cedric a puzzle, intended to bring calm to the household.
Episode 30 - My ancestors

During history class, Nicholas tells the enraptured pupils the story of his ancestor, the knight, Sir Gonzague des Charentes du Ventoux. Chen shows a passion for this hero, who saved a king and single-handedly defeated a whole army. Cedric goes home in a foul mood. "Why don't we have any ancestors in our family?".
Episode 32 - Hand in hand

Cedric admits it: he dreams of claiming Chen's hand forever, but he doesn't dare act on his wish. He becomes furious when one day he sees Nicholas take the hand of Chen on stage, for the curtain call. Christian explains in vain that there's no reason to be jealous, but Cedric still thinks that he is indeed the only person in the world to have the right to seize that hand!
Episode 33 - On foot or by car

Marvin has seen a movie which teaches him that girls apparently love beautiful cars. Cedric hadn't been very interested by the question till then, but he remembers that one day, when he'd offered to walk Chen home to confess his love to her, she'd preferred to climb into the Rolls belonging to Nicholas' parents.
Episode 35 - Breaking up is so hard to be done to

Cedric has no idea of the atrocious news that Christian is going to break to him, on that seemingly uneventful day: Chen has decided to dump him! Cedric laughs in his pal's face at first, but the details that Christian serves up are overwhelming. Cedric goes through a passage darker than he's ever before known...
Episode 36 - The prime minister's visit

What a showoff that Nicholas is! Not only that, he's got everything going for him: even fame, thanks to the picture in a newspaper depicting him next to his father the ambassador, who received a medal. Disgusted with the injustice of his being born Cedric Dupont and not Nicholas d'Aulnay-Des-Charentes de Whatchamacallit, Cedric blames his father for not having any medals.
Episode 37 - Getting the wrinkle of it

What a drag being eight years old! Enough already! Even though "The Galaxy Counterattacks" is going to be on TV, his parents send him to bed, under the pretext that it's late. Cedric can't help dreaming of everything he could do if he were a grownup., freed from his difficult situation as a schoolboy and his inextricable problems of allowance.
Episode 38 - The lucky charm

Cedric loses at marbles, the teacher questions him on the multiplication table of seven, he collects punishments and tongue lashings by the bushel. There's only one conclusion possible: Cedric is just one unlucky kid! Still, though, he has to admit - sometimes lady luck smiles on him... and it's always when Chen is at his side.
Episode 39 - The history lesson

School and love. "Ah", Cedric sighs, "adults have no idea how difficult it is to reconcile the two!" He recalls how a particularly somber period for him, gradewise, provoked a long series of family disputes, in spite of all his schemes for avoiding the fury of his parents. But what could he do? Chen was on his mind all the time.
Episode 40 - What tempers !

Cedric has to admit it: Chen has one heck of a temper! He'd had striking evidence of that when his abominable cousin Yolanda came for a visit. As usual, she'd been worse than odious with Chen. And the reaction wasn't long in coming: Yolanda had to back off, after receiving a serious shampoo with rotten eggs!
Episode 41 - Cats, cats, cats...

In the middle of the winter, Cedric brings home a robin, severely weakened from the cold. Poppy and Cedric each build a birdhouse that they set up in the garden. Poppy, who'd bet that the birds would prefer his shelter, loses. He doubles Cedric's Christmas gift!
Episode 42 - A brillant idea !

That Christian! What a guy! He really is the best friend a kid could have! With all his ideas, how many times did Christian save Cedric's skin? Unfortunately, not all of Christian's brainstorms are as successful...
Episode 43 - The bet

Each pupil in Cedric's class has to sell five books of tickets for a raffle. Christian moans and groans about this impossible task. On the other hand, Cedric boasts that for him, it'll be child's play! He even makes a bet with Christian: if he manages to do it, Christian will have to give him enough money to offer Chen a movie ticket.
Episode 44 - A promise is a promise

Since Christian has been deprived of television for a whole week as punishment for his bad marks, Cedric, to support his pal in this terrible trial, swears that he won't fight with Nicholas for a whole week! Trouble is, the following Wednesday, Chen organizes a party at her house, and asks for help in the preparations from Cedric, Christian... and Nicholas.
Episode 47 - As easy as a phone call

Cedric grouses and grumbles: no two ways about it, grownups are awfully hard to understand sometimes! Cedric recalls going through a period with Chen that was so difficult, he thought he would lose her forever, because of a silly incident involving stinkbombs...
Episode 49 - Alice

It's Christmas vacation, and things start out badly, for Chen is leaving to go skiing. Cedric despairs at the thought of not seeing her for two weeks, especially as he's planned on kissing her at midnight on New Year's Eve. The arrival of Alice, who's come to spend vacation at her cousin Caprice's, is going to turn everything upside down.
