Episode 1 - Conduct UnbecomingP.J.'s ex-girlfriend Hilary Edmunds arrives back in Mount Thomas and P.J. feels the old spark between them. But has Hilary forgiven him for the last time they were together? Meanwhile, Wayne investigates a claim of molestation by Angela DeVenuto after she is arrested for shoplifting. But is she telling the truth? |
Episode 2 - Good Cop, Bad CopBlue Heelers are worried when it seems that Tom may be transferred back to Melbourne and the dreaded Charlie Glover would be taking his place. But Tom does not want the transfer and Charlie is equally reluctant so together they have to convince Insp. Ted Faulkner to change his mind. Elsewhere, Wayne has a difficult time trying to serve a summons to Randolph Soames. |
Episode 3 - The Final SeasonAustralian footy legend Big Don Danites arrives in Mount Thomas with his wife Tracey. Wayne is delighted and asks him to coach the local under-10s. But Big Don shows a different side when his drinking gets out of control and he hits his wife. Elsewhere, the Heelers have their annual District Firearms Trials. |
Episode 4 - PaybackNick forms a romantic attachment to Jennifer Willis and a deep bond with her daughter Kate, as he tries to put the tragedy of his wife and child's deaths behind him. But his happiness is short-lived when he finds that she was responsible for the hit-and-run of her former boyfriend Tony McHugh. Meanwhile, the Heelers try to find a peeping tom. |
Episode 5 - Sex, Lies and VideotapesTom discovers that his friend Charlie McVie has embezzled the football club's funds. When questioned, Charlie admits to Tom that he is being blackmailed by his daughter's former boyfriend. Meanwhile, Maggie and Wayne arrest Gail Hutton for drunk and disorderly and lock her up for the night only to discover that she is underage. Then PJ and Tom make a discovery that links both cases together. |
Episode 6 - Men in Her LifeMaggie runs foul of prominent local politician Ken Forbes when she arrests him for driving under the influence. The matter is complicated when her current boyfriend and Forbes's assistant Glenn Ritchie lies to cover up for the politician causing Maggie to be investigated by her superiors. This brings her father Pat into town, determined to help despite Maggie's protests. |
Episode 7 - A Bird in the HandThe Heelers go in pursuit of some rare snake smugglers. Roz is asked to tidy up Alan McCubbin's station house but becomes uncomfortable with him when he becomes overly friendly with her, reeking of alcohol. Roz tells Tom who, after a further investigation, uncovers Alan has a drinking problem and has to be suspended. |
Episode 8 - MissingBill Mason, the father of a nineteen-year-old boy who disappeared near Mount Thomas, comes to town on the fourth anniversary of his disappearance. A reenactment of the disappearance on television prompts a number of fresh calls and finally brings the Healers a lead. But will it bring good news to Bill? Elsewhere, PJ, Nick, and Wayne play a practical joke on Maggie. |
Episode 9 - Day in CourtWhen the traveling magistrate Sgt. Paula Dyson comes to town for a day, the Blue Heelers are less than enthusiastic about spending the time in court. Maggie has her first day in court presenting evidence, and she's got butterflies. P.J. and Chris's relationship becomes strained when she refuses to testify in the trial of Barry Lambert. |
Episode 10 - Nowhere to RunWhen a young girl is murdered, the Blue Heelers have their work cut out to discover what happened. Sally Lewis is found dead in a shared house where suspicion falls on her roommates, including her sister Heather, who may have been involved in her death. The team also reunite one of the room-mates with his estranged father. |
Episode 11 - ConsequencesInspector Faulkner comes to town to launch a Safety House Scheme but it turns out that the chief public supporter and meatworks owner, Bill Todd, sells inferior carcasses as quality meat - which puts a dent in Faulkner's plans. PJ pressures burglar Damien into confessing to burglaries but later Damien is found badly beaten. The Heelers need to find out who took out their anger on Damien. |
Episode 12 - A Matter of TrustRoz is suspended from her job after passing on classified information to her friend Liz Mooney in the hope she can retain custody of her son from her violent husband. Elsewhere, a young teen comes to Mount Thomas to find his birth mother but is beaten up by his half-brother, assuming that he's a burglar. |
Episode 13 - Necessary ForceAfter an eventful night where wealthy rural resident Moira Field shoots and kills an intruder, and following her suspension from her job, Roz decides to leave Wayne and return home to Melbourne. |
Episode 14 - Bitter HarvestPJ pursues Joe Furness aka Joe Birch as he believes he is guilty of a series of rapes in St. Davids. Meanwhile, Trish Lowe has a serious infatuation on PJ and invites the Heelers to a party for her birthday. When Trish is raped later that night, PJ is convinced that Joe is the culprit. But isn't he victimizing an innocent man? |
Episode 15 - Crazy Like a FoxNick pulls over a car for speeding and is offered a bribe by the driver to let him off. Meanwhile, feuding brother and sister Philipa and Greg Sutton make life hell for the Blue Heelers and elsewhere, an angry man accuses an antique store owner of receiving stolen goods. |
Episode 16 - Old Dogs, New TricksNick and Maggie investigate unexplained mishaps in a retiree's home which lead to an unexpected culprit. Meanwhile, Wayne goes on the search for who is breaking into people's houses without stealing anything. |
Episode 17 - Labour of LoveWhilst attending a course in Melbourne, Wayne attempts to get to see Roz but her mother prevents him. This angers him and he takes his frustration out on new police cadet, Adam Cooper, who is the new constable in Mount Thomas. Meanwhile, the 'traveling masseuse' has tongues in Mount Thomas wagging. PJ agrees to go and find information on the masseuse but finds her injured and all her cash gone. |
Episode 18 - Escape RoutePina Neilsen, the Filipino victim of a car crash, refuses to tell The Heelers about the accident or her family until her husband Frank Neilson turns up in Mount Thomas. Then she tells them that she is a victim of spousal abuse and doesn't want to see him again. However, Frank doesn't take this news too well and sets out to find Pina before she is moved to a woman's refuge. |
Episode 19 - Adverse PossessionP.J. and Tom are caught in the middle of a contentious local land dispute between Geoff Lovett who is claiming adverse possession of the land, and P.J.'s ex-girlfriend Hilary Edmunds's uncle Stan Horvath. Hilary, PJ's old flame, returns to Mt Thomas to help her family retain their property. |
Episode 20 - The Folly of YouthTwo missing girls cause suspicion to be placed in an unfair direction when the Blue Heelers are looking for suspects. |
Episode 21 - Face ValueThe Heelers try to catch out a married couple who are trying to con parishioners out of their hard-earned cash by stating they are at the verge of discovering a cure for cancer. When it looks like the local priest may be involved PJ and Tom become determined to catch them. |
Episode 22 - SuspicionA drug raid goes wrong when the drug dealers find out about the raid and manage to evade the Heelers. PJ begins to think that someone from inside the force tipped off the drug dealers and he suspects Maggie's boyfriend Sean. Meanwhile, Adam's friend Melissa starts working in the pub and is very popular. However, money and drink go missing and Chris is convinced that Melissa is involved. |
Episode 23 - Without IntentJulia Fogarty's late husband Gary's body goes missing from a funeral parlour. When it is found, it is sent to Melbourne for an autopsy, showing that Gary was poisoned and hadn't died from natural causes as originally suspected. Meanwhile, when a carpet and electronics shops are ram-raided, shop Adam goes on the hunt to find out who the culprits are. |
Episode 24 - Family MattersA young security guard Jason Campbell's accusation leads to a much more interesting suspect than first thought. Meanwhile, a young girl comes into the station highly distressed - she was robbed of company funds after she becomes faint in the park. The Heelers investigate whether it wasn't an inside job. |
Episode 25 - The First StoneNick is unwittingly involved in a murder investigation that could spell the end of his career when a rowdy drunk that Nick took home is found dead the next day. PJ's mother gives him some relationship advice in hopes he will get married. |
Episode 26 - Skin DeepTensions are running high as renovations are underway in the Mt. Thomas station when two Aborigines arrive in town, and Tom is accused of racial prejudice. |
Episode 27 - Luck of the DrawTom's wife Nell is fatally injured and his daughter Susan is injured when a car driven by drunk teenagers plows into their car also killing the three teenagers. Lou Vicenza, the father of one of the dead teenagers, makes a complaint to Chris about her supplying alcohol to underage kids which she vehemently denies. So who supplied the teenagers with booze? And is the crash all that it seems? |
Episode 28 - Damage ControlMaggie's hopes of promotion to Detective are thwarted with the arrival of Senior Constable Rose Egan from St. David's who is in line for the same job. Further compounding her woes is the news that her boyfriend Sean is suspected of being on the take when a horse racing ring is discovered. |
Episode 29 - Without a TraceThe Healers are perplexed when a middle-aged couple disappears from their farm without a trace. Meanwhile, Rose's ex-husband brings back painful memories and local framer Ron Novak reports that a UFO has landed in his back paddock. |
Episode 30 - A Question of CouragePaul Reynolds, an over-zealous nightclub bouncer, causes untold trouble for the Heelers. After a brawl takes place at the fitness center a panicked Adam calls for unnecessary back-up leaving Maggie vulnerable amongst the mob who ends up being knocked unconscious. But things go from bad to worse when Adam is bitten by Paul after he tries to escape custody and it is found that Paul has HIV. |
Episode 31 - A Cruel RealityAdam finds his pending HIV status a stumbling block with the Mount Thomas community. Elsewhere, Mount Thomas's first bank robbery causes confusion for the Heelers, everyone has an alibi and their leads end up in a dead-end. Finally, the suspect turns out to be someone they wouldn't normally suspect. |
Episode 32 - MatesTom and Chris's old friend, Alex Bailey, who betrayed their trust, returns to Mount Thomas after ten years spent in jail, looking to make amends and also to see his son Shane. But not everyone is glad to see him - his attempts to stay in the community are thwarted several times and the ex-con's return to town moves PJ and Rose to reopen his case. |
Episode 33 - Out of Harm's WayDeranged father Michael Fielding abducts his young daughter from school and tells Adam in a phone call that he insists on negotiating only with him and that his daughter is being abused by her step-father Ian Rasheed. Meanwhile, Adam anxiously awaits his HIV test results and Nick finds Adam's gun missing from his locker. He is worried, knowing that Adam is nervous because of the HIV test. |
Episode 34 - Breaking the CycleThe Heelers are initially called to a school disturbance between two boys. The instigator, Sam Roper, is cautioned and sent home with his parents Colin and Jane Roper. But later an incident at the Roper household leads the Heelers to believe that Jane is a victim of domestic abuse. However, the next day Colin Roper is found dead, transpiring that he was actually the victim. |
Episode 35 - Heavy TrafficHighway Patrol rolls into town and causes no end of hassle for the Heelers and the citizens with their traffic offense fining. It leads to a car chase with Wayne and Wallace in pursuit of a speeding motorcyclist, ending in the man's death. He is identified as Billy Peters, a good friend of Nick which causes intense internal problems. Meanwhile, P.J. investigates at the local veterinary surgery. |
Episode 36 - Gun LawMaggie is called to a disturbance in the local lake by young teenagers and is conned into trying to rescue one of them, giving the others time to steal her gun-belt and cuffs. Tom urges her to find them quickly or there could be dire consequences. Meanwhile, Nick and the rest of the team have to show the ropes to Inspector Faulkner's nephew who is on a work experience placement at the station. |
Episode 37 - Ripples on the PondThe Heelers investigate the mindless destruction of the local Chinese restaurant and its owner and how the following violence is linked to local corrupt lawyer Greg Walters. Meanwhile, Tom warns Nick about getting involved with Sasha Peters, his friend Billy's widow. |
