With Evan still away in New York, Alex's attention is drawn to a fellow doctor. Richie's made his TV soap debut but life is not sweet. Jason and Caitlin are pregnant and glowing.

Will cheats death at work and feels momentarily invincible. Alex wonders how Rex can time his hard-ons to the second. Kelly decides to broaden her horizons.

Evan declares war on Alex and Rex's relationship. Gab goes for a job interview which feels like a date, while Miranda and Will's relationship takes an unexpected turn.
Episode 4 - 4. An Ill Wind...

Richie comes out to his Dad. Rex says those three little words to Alex as Evan tries to kickstart his lovelife. Caitlin and Jason prepare for the new arrival.

Kelly is worried Nathan has the "Six Month Itch". Miranda is drawn into a catfight and Evan tries to subvert Alex and Rex's romance.

Evan's besotted with Jemima but worries that Jemima is besotted with Alex. Jason crosses the line with a female colleague and lives to regret it.

Kelly finally meets Nathan's parents, but he tries to pass her off as a friend. Gabrielle experiences the agony and the ecstasy of being the "other woman".
