Susan cons Ben into taking dancing lessons, but soon finds out that, in their case, it takes more than two to tango. Roger tries to summon the courage to ask out Abi, but she seems blissfully unaware of his advances.

Normally nobody in the Harper family would willingly set foot in Nick's flat. But when Susan's mother comes to stay, it suddenly seems more attractive.

When the local paper announces Ben's death, he sees it as an opportunity to avoid all the things he doesn't want to do. Meanwhile, Nick is more distressed by Susan's efforts to transform his old room into a nursery.

The Harper's marriage is threatened when Susan learns that the poem that made her fall in love with Ben years ago was not an original. To make amends, Ben joins a poetry group but risks forming the wrong kind of couplet.

Janey's baby is due and Susan insists on travelling to Manchester for the birth. On the way, they make a number of visits to their past.

Although justice is supposed to be blind, Ben discovers that juries can be too. Meanwhile, a discovery at home also renders Susan temporarily sightless and Nick finds a new way to express himself.

It's Halloween and Susan enters enthusiastically into the spirit of trick or treat for the neighbourhood children, while Abi dons a somewhat unconventional costume. Ben tries to ignore it all, until the spirit gets him too.
Episode 9 - Series 4 Episode 9 Sitting Targets

With Nick juggling two girlfriends at once, Susan decides that Ben should spend more time with Michael for fear he might turn out like his brother. Plus, Janey has left baby Kenzo with the grandparents for the first time.
Episode 10 - Series 4 Episode 10 Loco Parentis

Michael has been playing truant, so Ben and Susan have to go back to school for parenting classes where they prove to be less than star pupils.
Episode 11 - Series 4 Episode 11 Canary Cage

The Harpers get a free holiday to Lanzarote. Although Ben loses his luggage, he is delighted to still have his brand new digital camera. Everyone soon wishes it were the other way around.
Episode 12 - Series 4 Episode 12 May The Best Man Win

When Abi's father decides to marry again, he asks Ben to be his best man. Not the wisest move, particularly as he hands over the running of the stag party to Nick.
Episode 13 - Series 4 Episode 13 It's A Window Filled Life

The house is quarantined because Roger is contagious. Nick has gone into business with an 18-foot python. Michael is firing a rocket launcher through the window. Just another pretty normal week for the Harper family.
