Episode 1 - I love schoolUnlike what his report cards might lead you to think, Cedric loves school! Or, to be frank, what he really liked at school, from the very first day, was Miss Nelly, his teacher. Ah, the love that blossomed between them! But life goes on, and he's met Chen, clearly the one true love of his life. Cedric has to act like a man and tell Miss Nelly the truth. |
Episode 2 - I want to marry herCedric is ticked off. He loves Chen more than ever. Cedric's crush reminds Robert of his youthful flings, and he enumerates the list of his conquests, insisting particularly clumsily on the present he'd offered Genevieve when he'd proposed to her. This recollection obviously sets Mary Rose into a jealous rage, but it also suggests to Cedric a solution for his problem. |
Episode 3 - A pebble in a shoeCedric's made up his mind. He's going to declare his love to Chen. But just as he's getting ready to do so, during a lovely walk the two of them are taking together, a pebble slips into the little girl's shoe. Frustrated and angry, Cedric throws a rock that accidentally causes the farmer to fall out of his apple tree. The two children take to their heels to escape the farmer's wrath. |
Episode 4 - Tiberius versus CaligulaCedric comes upon his mother offering the neighbor the boy's services to walk the her dog, Caligula. This is a chore Cedric prefers to avoid, so he discreetly makes himself scarce. But when he arrives in the park, he discovers Nicholas parading in front of the girls, boasting about his pooch, Tiberius. |
Episode 5 - The School DanceNeither Robert nor Mary Rose nor Chen's mother are willing to accompany the children to the school dance, Shocked by this general refusal, Poppy offers to take them. He mocks Robert, whose dancing skills he doubts. The parents give a demonstration of their talents in the living room. Chen and Cedric imitate them. Holding his friend in his arms, Cedric tries to tell her he loves her. |
Episode 8 - For Chen's SakeCedric and Christian run into Chen, who tells them how upset she is to have lost a borrowed brooch. If she doesn't find it by tonight, she'll be dishonored. Cedric will stop at nothing to avoid that, and steals a brooch that had belonged to his grandmother. Luckily, Christian points out to Cedric the seriousness of his deed, and Cedric puts the piece of jewelry back. |
Episode 11 - I hate himWhen Cedric thinks about Nicolas, his arch-enemy, an irrepressible feeling comes over him and he goes red with anger... Nicolas always tries to one up Cedric's stories, he always has to be the best! |
Episode 12 - My Dad's an AstronautCedric recalls the day he met Christian. When the two kids discuss what their parents do for a living, Christian declares that his father is a secret agent. Mortified to have to announce that his father sells wall-to-wall carpeting, Cedric declares that his pop is an... ASTRONAUT! Unfortunately, Christian wastes no time in stating his fervent desire to meet Robert. |
Episode 13 - I Don't Like Vacation!Cedric is about to leave for a vacation. Christian persuades him that Chen will no longer be available when he returns, and suggests that Cedric substitute toothpaste for the suntan cream, which should guarantee his prompt return home. At the same time, Mary Rose is worried about leaving Poppy by himself, with only the neighbor to look in on him. Cedric leaps at the opportunity. |
Episode 15 - BlackmailIt's crazy what love can make you do! Cedric has to show his report card to his parents. After much thought, he's come up with mitigating circumstances, and has a plan: he'll tell his parents that he was born with a brain too small for him to have anything but mediocre scholastic results. |
Episode 17 - Not Jealous, Just...Chen is playing hopscotch. Cedric is sure that as soon as he looks the other way, all the other boys will submerge her! This reflection prompts his friend, Christian, to say out loud that Cedric is jealous. At home, Cedric observes a jealous scene involving Robert and Mary Rose. But Robert is embarrassed when he realizes his suspicions are just plain ridiculous! |
Episode 18 - My Cousin YolandaThat day, when Cedric comes home with Christian, he's in for a big surprise: his cousin Yolanda has arrived! He can't stand her! She's a plague! To top off his misfortune, Mary Rose announces that the cousin is going to be staying for a week. Cedric is going to have to put up with this creep, who spends her time talking about herself and badmouthing others. |
Episode 22 - Keep 'Em Rolling!Nicholas has received a new present from his father: a skateboard. Consequently, the young aristocrat is the object of all the girls' admiration... including Chen's! Cedric, jealous, will do everything he can to get a skateboard, too. The task is difficult, especially as Robert refuses at first to buy him one. Fortunately, Poppy is willing to lend a hand... |
Episode 23 - I Want a HorseBecause he's seen Chen horseback riding with his rival, Nicholas, Cedric acts up insufferably at home: he wants a horse! Robert explains that he can't afford to buy him one. Cedric replies insolently, and he's sent to his room. A little later, Robert comes home with a horse. As for the family, they'll have to tighten their belts! |
Episode 24 - Poppy Takes OffDuring a ritual, vehement, colorful squabble between Poppy and his son-in-law, Robert Dupont, Poppy solemnly declares that he is permanently leaving this house, in which he is definitely not welcome!. The family doesn't worry, because this isn't the first time Poppy has pulled a stunt of the sort. But the next morning, they discover that the old man has disappeared! |
Episode 26 - Vote for Cedric!Miss Nelly has decided to organize elections to elect a new student delegate in Cedric's class. Nicholas is excited and claims that he's certain to be elected. After all, his father is a diplomat! Chen concurs that Nicholas would be a good delegate. Mortified and jealous, Cedric refuses to go down without a fight. Following Poppy's advice, he decides to run a full-fledged electoral campaign! |
Episode 28 - The Poor SportCedric is an ace at pogs, a children's game that is all the rage in the schoolyard. He beats everybody... until Chen challenges him to play against her. And Cedric loses. Disappointed, he grouses, complains, and destroys a bathroom door with his kicks: he's a poor sport. When he gets home, Poppy lectures him: you've got to know how to be a good loser. |
Episode 29 - The New KidOn Chen's first day of school, Miss Nelly asks Cedric to help the new little girl improve her language skills. Cedric agrees, not too willingly and not too patiently. All the boys wind up making fun of Chen. |
Episode 30 - A Delicate Young LadyInspired by the adventures of Sideron, a science fiction super hero, Cedric decides that he will become a hero in Chen's eyes. So he begins following her wherever she goes, ready to intervene at a moment's notice, and any which way, to save her from imaginary dangers. The only result is that Chen freaks out, exasperated, and tells him to leave her alone. |
Episode 31 - The Hard Worker Deserves Good WagesJealous of Nicholas, who gave a lovely scarf to Chen, Cedric decides to offer a necklace to his beloved. Unfortunately, the least little necklace is still too expensive for his meager resources. The only solution is to earn some money... using his wiles, obviously! |
Episode 32 - The Show OffCedric doesn't know what more he can do to get Chen to notice him: skateboarding, freestyle bike figures, dazzling soccer play, all under her very nose, don't move the little girl. She doesn't even seem to notice his existence. He can't bring himself to talk to her. When he returns home, Cedric learns that Robert's car has been run into by Chen's mother; |
Episode 33 - It's All in Your MindCedric barges into the bathroom before Poppy has finished there. He is surprised by Poppy's thinness and rushes to report what he's seen to Mary Rose, without realizing that his grandfather has overheard. |
Episode 34 - Ring-a-ding-dingIt's Wednesday, and it's Chen's birthday. Cedric phones to congratulate her, and she mixes him up with ten other boys in the class, which totally demolishes his morale. Christian advises him to differentiate himself from the other guys by offering her a symbolic gift: a ring. |
Episode 36 - The Lovers' QuarrelCedric's had a spat with Chen. He annoyed her, and she minced no words in telling him what she thought! After returning sheepishly home, he confides, as usual, in Poppy. An explosive argument erupts between Mary Rose and Robert. Mary Rose rushes up to the bedroom and slams the door. |
Episode 37 - Brains and BrawnMiss Nelly complains that Cedric is not working hard in school. Mary Rose scolds the boy. Poppy takes matters in hand, and has a discussion with Cedric. He explains that there aren't a million ways to make it in life: either he'll have to use what he's got in his head, or what he's got under his shirt! |
Episode 38 - Christmas MemoriesChen's parents invite the Dupont family to spend Christmas Eve with them. Cedric's joy knows no bounds! And, as it turns out, Cedric's Christmas Eve with Chen is like a dream: for sure, he'll remember it his whole life! The only dark spot is that Poppy, who is always a little nostalgic during the Holidays, preferred staying home alone. Poor Poppy! |
Episode 39 - SOS TvAn incident occurs at home that quickly assumes the dimensions of a crisis! The TV is on the blink. Poppy is furious to be deprived of his favorite show, and Cedric is going to miss the cult series of the season. What will his friends at school think? |
Episode 41 - Capricious CapriceCedric is floating on a cloud of happiness with Chen. Then Christian confesses that he's fallen in love again with Caprice. But this time, it's the real thing, as the symptoms prove. His long experience in romantic issues convinces Cedric he should help Christian declare his love to Caprice. |
Episode 43 - Movie MadnessChen has at last accepted to go to the movies with Cedric. But from now to the Big Day, what trials he'll be put through! First, his piggybank is empty. A simple con game solves this problem by getting Poppy to contribute. But then the torments of waiting for the event begin to take their toll... |
Episode 44 - Love LettersCedric is shattered: Nicholas's romantic poems have got all the girls at his feet... including Chen! Following Christian's sound advice, Cedric decides to write a love letter to Chen to compete with Nicholas's odes. But he needs a model... |
Episode 45 - Poppy Spies on MeChen has come over to do her homework with Cedric, who's determined to take advantage of the situation to declare his love. But Cedric surprises his grandfather spying on them through the keyhole. To cover himself, Poppy invents a preposterous story about oiling the lock, but Cedric doesn't believe a word of it, and decides to take revenge. |
Episode 46 - The RallyMiss Nelly organizes a rally through the town for the children, combining a scavenger hunt and sports competition. The winners will receive free tickets to Aquarioland. Christian and Cedric have every intention of winning the rally, in order to invite Chen and Caprice to Aquarioland. |
Episode 47 - Poppy's SulkingSuspended from school because of a practical joke he played on Nicholas, Cedric is sent to his room. Since he's supposed to meet Chen, he asks Poppy to go see her and to make up a good excuse. Poppy refuses, whereupon Cedric loses his temper and insults his grandfather, causing the old man to close up like a clam in an unshakeable silent sulk. |
Episode 48 - Our Animal FriendsChen has been filled with admiration for Nicholas, since he joined an association for the protection of animals. This obviously has put Cedric into a rage... He wants to prove to his beloved that, like Nicholas, he's capable of loving and protecting animals. |
Episode 52 - It's My Party, and I'll Lie if I Want toWhen Cedric arrives at school, he learns that Nicholas organized a super party to which he was not invited. What's worse, Chen thought the party was wonderful! The boy's pride is wounded. But he won't give up without a fight, and decides to challenge his rival Nicholas by organizing a mega-party of his own. |
